Morning Pointe of Franklin, Indiana, Assisted Living and Memory Care has named Tristan Pruitt as its executive director.

In this role, Pruitt oversees daily operations at the assisted living and memory care community located at 75 S. Milford Drive. She works with a team of directors, nurses, nursing assistants and other support staff to provide personalized care programs for residents and support for their families. She will focus on fostering meaningful relationships and experiences for residents as well as promoting their health, independence and well-being.

Pruitt is no stranger to the community, having previously served as the Lantern program director. In that role, she led purposeful activities for the memory care wing. She recently earned her Indiana Residential Care Administration license.

Starting her career in senior care/senior living as a dietary aide in a skilled nursing facility, Pruitt has also been a certified nursing assistant and a medical assistant/phlebotomist. She has an associate’s degree as a healthcare specialist from Ivy Tech Community College, and she is also a Certified Dementia Practitioner.

“I love working with seniors because they remind me of the simpler times,” Pruitt said. “They are so funny and witty, and I love to listen to their stories. I feel lucky to serve them in their later years. My grandmother played a huge part in raising me, so I consider myself an ‘old soul.’” She added, “I like that Morning Pointe [Senior Living] truly feels like a small, family-oriented company.”

Originally from Martinsville, Indiana, Pruitt currently resides in Greenwood, Indiana, with her husband, Logan. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, concerts, eating out and thrift shopping.

“We are so happy to have Tristan back to lead Morning Pointe of Franklin,” said Staci Dennis, vice president of operations for Morning Pointe Senior Living’s Bluegrass Region. “She was very well loved in her activities role, and to see her returning in a leadership role, I know the residents, staff, and families will benefit.”

Morning Pointe of Franklin offers assisted living and memory care with clinical and care staff available 24/7. Meals are served with dietician oversight in a restaurant-style setting and with an emphasis on fresh, local produce. Residents also enjoy a full life enrichment activity program, including regular outings, service projects, intergenerational programming, and engaging community partnerships. Physical, occupational and speech therapy services are also available on-site. Memory care programming includes the Best Friends™ Approach, Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care, music therapy, art therapy, cuddle therapy and the Meaningful Day™ purposeful memory care program that provides structure to help residents feel safe and secure.

Founded in 1997 by Tennessee healthcare entrepreneurs Greg A. Vital and Franklin Farrow, Morning Pointe Senior Living owns and operates 38 assisted living, personal care, and Alzheimer’s memory care communities in five southeastern states.

The philanthropic arm of Morning Pointe Senior Living is the Morning Pointe Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works to provide nursing scholarships and caregiver support.
