The community is invited to participate in the Festival of Wreaths online auction organized by The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence in Franklin, Tennessee, supporting the Williamson County Animal Shelter.
More than 30 decorated wreaths and a set of crafted gnomes are up for auction at https://www.32auctions.com/lanternfestivalofwreaths. Checks can be made payable to the Williamson County Animal Shelter, and The Lantern is also accepting cash payments (in correct change only). All donations will go directly to the shelter. The auction runs through Tuesday, Dec. 19, at 5 p.m. Pickup of won items will be Dec. 20-22 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily.
The shelter has brought many animals to visit residents at The Lantern, located at 1015 Generations Way, and associates at The Lantern wanted to do something to give back.
“They have been so kind sharing all of their furry babies with our residents,” said Lori Domer, executive director at The Lantern.
Pet therapy is just one of the many types of activities in place at The Lantern to enrich the lives of its residents. As part of the Morning Pointe Senior Living family, life enrichment programs also include intergenerational activities, games, parties, musical programs, art therapy and more. Volunteers are always welcome.
