Morning Pointe of Danville Phase II Starts “Dusty Boots” Tours

Interested families can now schedule tours of Morning Pointe of Danville Assisted Living, Phase II of the Morning Pointe of Danville campus that is expected to open this fall.

Associates are conducting “Dusty Boot Tours” by appointment, allowing potential residents and their families to see inside the building before reserving an apartment. The address is 100 Birney Place, next door to the current Morning Pointe of Danville Assisted Living and Memory Care at 1375 Perryville Road.

“We are thrilled to be able to invite interested seniors and their families to take a look inside this beautiful building in this growing part of Kentucky,” said Greg A. Vital, Morning Pointe Senior Living co-founder and president. “It won’t be long before we will be opening our doors for residents to move in and call this new community home.”

The single-level structure will offer comprehensive assisted living services, and several of the 72 apartments have already been reserved. Morning Pointe of Danville – Phase II will offer 58 spacious assisted living apartments and 14 suites with kitchenettes and stackable washer/dryer combos. Multiple one- and two-bedroom floor plan choices are available.

Services and Amenities

Clinical services at the community will include (but are not limited to):

  • Licensed nurses providing oversight of health, wellness, and medication management
  • Licensed, clinical, and care staff available 24 hours a day
  • Medication assistance and reminders
  • Periodic check-ins
  • Personal grooming assistance, such as bathing or getting dressed
  • Assistance with transferring to a bed or chair
  • Escorting to meals and events
  • Accommodations for no-salt-added and reduced-concentrated-sweets diets

On-site physical, occupational and speech therapy services will be available. Programming will include life enrichment such as arts and crafts, wellness offerings like exercise classes, and intergenerational activities, including partnering with local schools. Residents will also benefit from Morning Pointe’s Farm to Table program with local, farm-fresh and seasonal ingredients.

  • Pharmacy services
  • Transportation services for medical appointments
  • A beauty salon/barbershop
  • A 24-hour emergency response system

More About the Campus

Upon completion of Phase II, Morning Pointe of Danville Phase I will expand its memory care services to add care for earlier stages of Alzheimer’s and dementia. The community will offer two levels of care for Alzheimer’s and other dementias – Lamplight for early stages and Lantern for the more advanced stages. Care staff will be specially trained in dementia and Alzheimer’s. Memory care programming will continue to include the Best Friends™ Approach, Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach™ to Care, Meaningful Day™ purposeful programming, music therapy, art therapy and cuddle therapy.

The Morning Pointe of Danville campus is located conveniently near Millennium Park, Centre College, the Boyle County School Campus, downtown Danville and Ephraim McDowell Trauma Hospital.

The community is currently hiring department managers. It will be hiring nurses, certified nursing assistants, resident assistants, cooks and other roles closer to opening.

Morning Pointe of Danville Phase II will be the 13th Morning Pointe community in Kentucky. Other Kentucky campuses are located in Lexington, Louisville, Frankfort, Richmond and Russell. Founded in 1997 by healthcare entrepreneurs Greg A. Vital and Franklin Farrow, Morning Pointe Senior Living operates assisted living and Alzheimer’s memory care communities in five southeastern states.
