Morning Pointe of Owensboro, Kentucky, the former Heritage Place which was acquired by Morning Pointe Senior Living, has been making progress on its $2.5 million renovation project.
The upgrades include expanded clinical services approved by state regulators, bringing the community up to a comprehensive level of assisted living services. These include:
- Coordination of on-site medical and therapy services
- Regular nurse assessments to meet residents’ needs
- Licensed nurses and certified staff administering medications
- Trained professionals performing nursing and therapeutic tasks
- Menus reviewed and approved by a dietician or nutritionist
- Comprehensive policies for CPR and emergency training
The community, located at 3362 Buckland Square, is also undergoing a facelift, providing the infrastructure needed for the clinical improvements while also making the building more homelike for residents. New flooring, kitchen appliances, furniture and more open common spaces are just some of the recent changes.

Renovations should be completed by the end of 2024.

Residents also benefit from Morning Pointe’s Farm to Table program with local, farm-fresh and seasonal ingredients.
Morning Pointe Senior Living was founded in 1997 by healthcare entrepreneurs Greg A. Vital (president) and Franklin Farrow (CEO). It operates 40 assisted living and Alzheimer’s memory care communities in five southeastern states, including 13 in Kentucky.
