WALKER COUNTY, Ga. — (December 23, 2025) — As construction continues on The Happy Valley Lantern, Morning Pointe Senior Living highlights the specialized levels of Alzheimer’s and dementia care that will soon be available at its Happy Valley campus. The new Lantern building, located at 2937 Happy Valley Rd, Rossville, GA 30741, is scheduled to open early 2026 and is now taking reservations.
The Lantern at Morning Pointe is part of the company’s Alzheimer’s Centers of Excellence and is designed specifically to meet the needs of residents living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. The program reflects a deep understanding of the challenges families face and focuses on creating a caring, nurturing environment where residents feel safe, secure, and engaged.
Morning Pointe memory care communities use the Best Friends™ approach and practice the Teepa Snow Positive Approach™, emphasizing respect, connection, and relationship-based care. Residents participate in purposeful, engaging daily activities designed to provide structure and meaningful interaction. Programming is familiar, achievable, and tailored so that every resident can participate at their own level.
In addition to long-term residency, Morning Pointe also offers short-term care for individuals recovering from a hospital stay, as well as respite care to support full-time caregivers who need time to rest or manage other responsibilities.

The Happy Valley Lantern will feature two distinct program areas designed to provide stage-appropriate support:

- Offers a more active setting for residents who enjoy engaging in lively activities
The Lantern Program
- Tailored for residents in the more advanced stages of Alzheimer’s and dementia
- Focuses on individual interests, life experiences, and personal strengths
- Provides a smaller, more intimate environment designed to be calming for residents who may be easily overstimulated
This two-level model allows residents to receive care that aligns with their current needs while remaining within one specialized memory care community.
Morning Pointe associates are specially trained to support residents living with memory loss while also offering guidance and reassurance to family members. The Lantern works closely with medical partners and uses an interdisciplinary approach to address changing behaviors and evolving care needs.
