A Morning Pointe Couch Conversation: CNA Appreciation Week

June 13-19, 2024 is Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Appreciation Week, and at Morning Pointe Senior Living, our CNAs are some of the hardest-working and closest individuals to our residents.

CNAs provide clinical assistance, helping residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and eating. But they do much more. They also bring emotional support for residents and their families. These professionals help monitor health conditions, provide essential basic care, and serve as an additional communication bridge to keep families updated.

Join us for the latest in our heartwarming series of Couch Conversations as Tiffany Murphy, a CNA at Morning Pointe Senior Living, and resident Lucy Coppedge, share about the relationship they have developed at their community.

“She’s not like my daughter or anything – she’s like my friend,” Lucy said. “She makes me glad that I live here. Coming here was a big change, and Tiffany has made the change bearable, fun.”

Not only does Tiffany help Lucy with her ADLs, but they also enjoy just listening to each other, visiting and joking with one another. And Tiffany knows just how to straighten out Lucy’s couch.

“I love being here because there’s different residents with different backgrounds, and you get to know everybody,” Tiffany said. “I love what I do.”
