Join us for the latest Morning Pointe Senior Living “Couch Conversation” series installment. In this intimate and informative session, we highlight the varying levels of memory care available at some of our Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Centers of Excellence.

Sit in on a heartfelt dialogue between a Lantern program director, who is deeply involved with both spectrums of care, and a family member whose loved ones have experienced the full breadth of our services. This conversation promises to provide valuable insights for families navigating the journey of memory care.

More about memory care at Morning Pointe

Our associates in all Morning Pointe Lantern communities and memory care wings are regularly trained in dementia programs and approaches. These include Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach™ to Care™ and The Best Friends™ Approach, both of which help associates connect and communicate with residents in a friendly, loving, and positive way; as well as the Meaningful Day™ program, which provides individualized activities and programs that focus on quality of life.

Morning Pointe associates also provide support to families all through the disease processes, from the early stages to later stages.

In addition, some of The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Centers of Excellence offer two distinct areas for stage-appropriate care under one roof: Lamplight and Lantern.

The Lamplight Program is for residents in the early to moderate stages of Alzheimer’s disease. It offers a large, expansive environment that is secure and safe. It is also a more active area as residents are still able to engage in more lively activities.

The Lantern Program is for more advanced stages of Alzheimer’s and focuses on individual interests, life experiences, and personal strengths to ensure each resident benefits from personalized and purposeful support. It is a smaller, more intimate space that is designed to be calming for residents who may be more easily overstimulated.

Morning Pointe Senior Living is committed to being a resource and support to families across the Southeast. We are here for you as you navigate the difficult journey of Alzheimer’s and dementia.
