Celebrating National Senior Living Week 2023: A “Season of Reflection” at Morning Pointe

As autumn leaves start to fall, we remember life is a series of seasons, offering unique beauty and challenges. This September, Morning Pointe Senior Living joins communities across the nation in celebrating National Senior Living Week. The theme this year, “Season of Reflection,” couldn’t be more fitting.

Reflection is a meaningful way to honor the past while embracing the future. It allows us to pause and appreciate the journeys we’ve undertaken, the wisdom we’ve gathered, and the relationships we’ve formed. In the lives of our senior residents, these reflections embody a wealth of experiences and lessons that enrich our community as a whole.

To celebrate, Morning Pointe’s senior living communities from Alabama to Tennessee, Kentucky to Indiana to Georgia, have put together a week filled with activities that center around reminiscing. For example, at Morning Pointe of East Hamilton, Tennessee, each day of the week will highlight a different decade, with associates and residents dressing up according to the time period. At Morning Pointe of Danville, Kentucky, residents will be sharing old recipes, such as old-fashioned applesauce. Morning Pointe of Powell, Tennessee, will be holding a baking contest, and Morning Pointe of Brentwood, Tennessee, will be hosting a country Hootenanny.

Our commitment at Morning Pointe has always been to provide a holistic experience that nurtures physical, emotional, and intellectual well-being. This National Senior Living Week, we emphasize the value of reflection as a tool for emotional and intellectual wellness. In turn, that also nurtures physical health.

In the spirit of this year’s theme, let’s cherish the stories that shape us, the wisdom that guides us, and the community that supports us. Here’s to a memorable National Senior Living Week and a season that truly embodies reflection.

Thank you for being a cherished part of our Morning Pointe family. Happy National Senior Living Week!
