Morning Pointe Senior Living congratulates 2024 graduating associates

Graduates 2024 collage

It’s graduation season, and among the high school and college graduates around the country are several associates at Morning Pointe Senior Living communities.

For some, Morning Pointe has been a stepping stone along their career journey, while others are staying with us post-graduation. Regardless, we are thankful they chose Morning Pointe to gain hands-on experience as they have pursued their education.

Meet a few of our 2024 graduates!

Caroline graduated from Motlow State Community College in Tullahoma in May with her associate’s degree in health sciences. She has been a CNA at Morning Pointe of Tullahoma for about 10 months, and her mother, Stacey Nix, is the Lantern program director at the community. “What I enjoy most is getting to make strong connections and relationships with my residents,” said Caroline. “My residents truly teach me more than anyone, and I wouldn’t trade the relationships I have built with them for anything!”

Kenzie graduated from Loudon High School in Loudon, Tennessee, on May 11. She has been an RA at The Lantern since January 2024. “I was in search of a job, and I heard about Morning Pointe,” she said. “I was honestly hesitant about working there because I had never done any work like that before. I took a leap of faith and applied. I’ve never loved a job so much, getting to take care of so many sweet people keeps me going, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world!” Kenzie plans to attend the Tennessee College of Applied Technology in Harriman to become a licensed practical nurse, and then go on to become a registered nurse.

Bevin Harrill – Resident Assistant at Morning Pointe of Knoxville, Tennessee, Assisted Living

Bevin graduated on May 4 from Tennessee Wesleyan University in Athens, Tennessee, with her bachelor’s degree in pre-med biology with a minor in chemistry. She is also certified as an emergency medical responder. She has been a resident assistant at Morning Pointe of Knoxville for four years. “I started when a friend who was an employee here recommended that I apply,” said Bevin. “I enjoy getting to know the residents. Doing this job, you get really close to them, and they basically turn into a second family. Also, my coworkers are amazing, and it’s hard to imagine working anywhere else without them.” Bevin plans to go on to get her master’s degree this fall, preferably in biomedical science, and then on to medical school.
