Chattanooga, TN. (September 3, 2025) – Adventure has no age limit—and Morning Pointe Senior Living communities are ready to prove it! From September 7–13, 2025, residents, families, and neighbors across the Southeast will come together to celebrate National Assisted Living Week (NALW) with a jam-packed schedule of fun, meaningful events.
This year’s national theme, “Ageless Adventure,” is all about celebrating the spirit of exploration, discovery, and new experiences at every stage of life.
Morning Pointe’s 42 assisted living and memory care communities across Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama, and Indiana will mark the week with a variety of activities that bring residents, families, volunteers, and neighbors together. From intergenerational events and storytelling to themed socials and service projects, the celebrations are designed to reflect both the adventurous spirit of residents and the connections they share with their communities.
From Athens to Tullahoma and beyond, Morning Pointe Senior Living communities are bringing adventure to life with a jam-packed week of festivities! In Athens, residents will tee off with a Midway Mini Golf outing, cool down with flamingo slushies, and spread joy through “Ageless Acts of Kindness,” plus celebrate sweet traditions with Chocolate Shake and Chocolate Day. Tullahoma will transform each day into a theme, from a beach party kickoff to spirited Sports Day and a playful Animal Print Day. Clinton residents will enjoy spa hours and a garden foot soak before cheering at their own Olympic Medal Ceremony, while Lenoir City turns back the clock with nostalgic throwback days—80s, 50s, Wild West—and even a community carnival. Powell residents won’t miss out either, with special trips to the Tennessee Valley Fair, a Price is Right–style game with mocktails, and a friendly bean bag baseball tournament. Meanwhile, Russell will cap off the celebrations with live music and a Family Day Gospel Fest, and in Franklin, Indiana, residents will enjoy snacks from around the world and a special outing to the Indianapolis Zoo.

The spirit of adventure will shine at additional Morning Pointe campuses as well: in Tuscaloosa, residents will embark on an Outdoor Scavenger Hunt, enjoy line dancing, and gather for live music. Calhoun invites everyone to relive cherished memories on “Dress Like Your Senior Year” Day. Greeneville is hosting one of the busiest schedules of the week, from a Belgian waffle breakfast bar and a creative escape room, to painting the bus for NALW, dancing with the Roby Line Dancers, playing bingo with the local FFA, and capping it all with an Arbonne Beauty Party family night. In Columbia, seniors will turn back the clock during an “All Out Decade Party” packed with music, costumes, and nostalgia.
With everything from carnivals and concerts to zoo trips and scavenger hunts, Morning Pointe Senior Living is turning National Assisted Living Week into an unforgettable celebration of community, connection, and the spirit of adventure at every age.
Established by the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) in 1995, NALW invites communities across the country to honor the seniors who reside in assisted living, as well as the dedicated associates and volunteers who support them each day. For Morning Pointe, it’s a chance to showcase the vibrant lifestyles of residents while opening doors for the public to see what assisted living is really like.
A Week of Purpose and Connection
Beginning each year on Grandparents Day, National Assisted Living Week is a time to showcase the richness of life inside assisted living communities. At Morning Pointe, this year’s events will center on creative opportunities for residents to reminisce, try new experiences, and share their wisdom with others—all while celebrating the idea that adventure has no age limit.
