Adventure Awaits: Morning Pointe Celebrates National Assisted Living Week Across the Tennessee Valley

Chattanooga, TN. (September 3, 2025) – Adventure has no age limit—and Morning Pointe Senior Living communities are ready to prove it! From September 7–13, 2025, residents, families, and neighbors across the Tennessee Valley will come together to celebrate National Assisted Living Week (NALW) with a jam-packed schedule of fun, meaningful events.

This year’s national theme, “Ageless Adventure,” is all about celebrating the spirit of exploration, discovery, and new experiences at every stage of life.

Morning Pointe’s 42 assisted living and memory care communities across Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama, and Indiana will mark the week with a variety of activities that bring residents, families, volunteers, and neighbors together. From intergenerational events and storytelling to themed socials and service projects, the celebrations are designed to reflect both the adventurous spirit of residents and the connections they share with their communities.

Adventure awaits as Morning Pointe Senior Living communities across the Tennessee Valley pull out all the stops to celebrate. Highlights include a colorful Balloon Bash, Vintage Adventure Day, and an Outdoor Explorer Picnic in Collegedale; a Grandparent’s Day Ice Cream “Sunday,” Pool Party, barn nursery visit, and a lively performance from Papa Sway in Chattanooga; plus toe-tapping music with Barkey Bryant at Greenbriar Cove. East Hamilton residents will travel “around the world” with a cruise-style itinerary—featuring a Caribbean Carnival, Mediterranean Escape, Polynesian Paradise, and a sparkling Parisian Grand Finale toast. Meanwhile, Morning Pointe of Hixson will keep the fun going with fishing trips, ice cream parties, cornhole tournaments, and even a playful Newspaper Race. With so many exciting experiences, the week promises unforgettable moments of connection, joy, and celebration for residents, families, and neighbors alike.

Established by the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) in 1995, NALW invites communities across the country to honor the seniors who reside in assisted living, as well as the dedicated associates and volunteers who support them each day. For Morning Pointe, it’s a chance to showcase the vibrant lifestyles of residents while opening doors for the public to see what assisted living is really like.

A Week of Purpose and Connection

Beginning each year on Grandparents Day, National Assisted Living Week is a time to showcase the richness of life inside assisted living communities. At Morning Pointe, this year’s events will center on creative opportunities for residents to reminisce, try new experiences, and share their wisdom with others—all while celebrating the idea that adventure has no age limit.
