Wheelchairs gleamed, walkers sparkled and hearts were full as youth from the Cliff Hagan Boys & Girls Club spent the afternoon giving back—washing, shining and sharing smiles with the residents of Morning Pointe of Owensboro, Kentucky, Assisted Living at 3362 Buckland Square.

It was a moment that perfectly captured the heart of this senior living community—where compassion is part of the culture and relationships stretch far beyond the walls.

A Celebration of Renewal Rooted in Relationships

That same spirit of connection and celebration will shine even brighter as Morning Pointe of Owensboro hosts its Grand Opening Celebration on Thursday, Aug. 14, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., following a $2.5 million transformation of its building and services

Located at 3362 Buckland Square, Morning Pointe of Owensboro has spent the past several months transforming its campus into a modern, vibrant setting where senior care meets community involvement. The event will feature a formal ribbon-cutting at 4:30 p.m., guided tours, live music, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and remarks from local leaders about the growing importance of quality senior care options in the Owensboro region.

“Moments like our recent visit from the Boys & Girls Club are what truly define Morning Pointe—building bridges between generations and creating a place where everyone feels valued,” said Karleigh Roby, executive director. “We’re thrilled to celebrate this new chapter surrounded by our neighbors and partners who make Owensboro feel like home.”

Renovations and Renewed Commitment

Originally planned for April, the grand opening was delayed due to regional hailstorm recovery efforts. With repairs now complete across the area, Morning Pointe is excited to welcome guests into its upgraded community.

Morning Pointe Senior Living, a well-established provider of senior care across the Southeast, acquired the community in September. Since then, the community has undergone extensive updates, including:

Interior and Facility Upgrades:

  • Fresh paint, flooring, window treatments and modern artwork
  • New furniture, cabinetry and apartment amenities
  • Renovated kitchen with upgraded equipment
  • Redesigned nurses station

“This is more than a renovation—it’s a revitalization,” said Greg A. Vital, Morning Pointe Senior Living co-founder and president. “Our goal has always been to deliver peace of mind and quality care in the communities we serve. Owensboro deserves that, and we’re honored to be part of the region’s future.”

In addition, Morning Pointe of Owensboro provides 40 jobs in Daviess County, contributing an estimated more than $15 million annually through local partnerships, payroll and the purchase of goods and services.
