DANVILLE, Ky. — February 25, 2026—The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Danville, located at 1375 Perryville Rd, Danville, KY 40422, part of the full-service Morning Pointe Senior Living campus, is inviting the community to “meet the chili lineup” at its Chili Cook-Off 2026 on Friday, March 13 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

The competition is officially full, featuring creative entries such as Chilli Bang Bang, Small Town Chilli, Cluckin Cream Dream, Willow’s Wildfire Chilli, Rockin Rocket, Stir Crazy, Merchant Row Biscuit Beans, Crimson Cauldron, and Bean There Done That. Local restaurant chefs will serve as guest judges, adding culinary expertise and excitement to the event.

Guests of all ages are invited to sample the chili creations in a festive, chili-themed atmosphere. Admission is $6 and includes tastings and a drink. All proceeds will benefit the Morning Pointe Foundation, which supports scholarships in nursing, clinical therapy, culinary arts, and social work, along with caregiver education initiatives.

The event is also made possible through strong community support. Organizers are giving a huge shout-out to the many local businesses that donated items for the Chili Cook-Off prize baskets. These winning baskets will be filled with generous contributions from community partners including A Perfect Cookie, Grace Curtsinger Krafty-Designs, The Blended Tribe, The Barrel Boutique, The Vintage Prep, The Grill House, Ruth’s Heavenly Sweets, Bricks & Brews, J Crew Cafe, JC Hanger Bar & Grill, Ray’s Pizza Place, South Co. Sourdough, Snuggle Knots, Teachs Coffee, Harrods Perk & Chill, and Biggby Coffee.

“We want to give a huge shout-out to everyone who donated to our chili cook-off-winning baskets. These prizes will be awesome thanks to these donors,” said Emily Stanley, Lantern Program Director at The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Danville.
