Danville Couple to Celebrate 70 Years of Marriage with Vow Renewal

DANVILLE, Ky. (July 1, 2025) – Charlie and Edna Shannon, a beloved Danville couple, will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary with a heartfelt vow renewal ceremony at Morning Pointe of Danville Assisted Living.

Charlie served as an Army medic from 1952 to 1954, worked in construction, and spent 21 years with the Danville Police Department. Edna devoted 39 years as a payroll clerk for Boyle County Schools. The couple has also been active members of Calvary Baptist Church in Danville for more than 50 years—sharing a life built on faith, service, and love for their community and one another.
