The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Hardin Valley, which is open and welcoming residents, invites the greater community to its Grand Opening on May 15.

The Hardin Valley Grand Opening

The grand opening at the community, located at 2433 Reagan Road in Knoxville, will start at 4 p.m. with a formal ribbon-cutting at 4:30 p.m. The program will include addresses from local dignitaries and musical performances by local students. Following the program, attendees will enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres and tours of the community.

“Families are truly embracing this new memory care community on the rapidly growing east side of Knoxville,” said Greg A. Vital, Morning Pointe Senior Living co-founder and president. “With the growing prevalence of Alzheimer’s and other dementias, we are honored to be able to offer support and service to more citizens living with the disease, and to their families.”

The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Hardin Valley, has 60 apartments and two distinct levels of memory care. The Lamplight neighborhood is a large area for residents with early-stage Alzheimer’s and dementia who are more active, while the Lantern wing provides a more intimate and quiet space designed for more advanced stages. Several floor plan choices include studios and companion two-bedroom apartments, such as for couples.

“We are excited to celebrate with our wider community as we offer more choices for care for aging seniors and families to stay close together in the area they love,” said Sandra Franklin, executive director at The Lantern.
