BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Jeff Beaty has been named the executive director at Morning Pointe of Brentwood. Beaty will oversee daily operations at the senior living campus located at 1522 Wilson Pike, which includes both assisted living and Alzheimer’s memory care. Morning Pointe Senior Living, a Chattanooga, Tenn.-based senior healthcare services company, owns and manages 36 Morning Pointe assisted living, personal care and Alzheimer’s memory care communities in five southeastern states. Morning Pointe was founded in 1997 by Tennessee healthcare entrepreneurs Greg A. Vital and Franklin Farrow and is celebrating 25 years of service in 2022.
“I get to meet some of the most interesting people. These residents offer a wealth of knowledge and experience that continues to fuel my passion to make a difference in their lives,” said Beaty. “I get to interface with other healthcare providers, which gives me opportunities to train, educate, collaborate, and strategize on new ways of providing care to our community of residents.”
Beaty joins Morning Pointe with 38 years of experience in geriatric healthcare management as a clinician and administrator, most recently having been the Chief Behavioral Health Officer at a facility in Kentucky for 17 years. His training and experience has helped many families and residents learn how to live with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Beaty holds a number of degrees and certifications, including a PhD in Health Science and Education from A.T. Still University, a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from Capella University, a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with Graduate Certificates in Healthcare Compliance and Neuropsychology. He is a Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer and Certified Alzheimer’s Educator, among other health-related certifications.
Beaty considers himself to be a professional learner, always seeking new information to better care for residents and his team. Specifically, Beaty enjoys learning about the brain and neuro-psychiatric principles to be able to create training that supports those with a decline in cognition. In his free time, he loves to spend time with his family. Beaty and his wife, Marcie, have been married for 28 years and have two children together.
“We are very fortunate to have Jeff leading our Morning Pointe of Brentwood senior living campus,” said Tonie Venable, regional vice president of operations for Morning Pointe. “His level of experience and education is second-to-none, and will help us usher in a new era of excellence at Morning Pointe of Brentwood.”
