“Moments of Grace” Summit to Offer Support, Education and Hope for Dementia Caregivers

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (June 12, 2025) –Caring for someone with Alzheimer’s or dementia is a deeply personal journey—and one that can leave even the most devoted caregivers feeling overwhelmed and alone. But hope and help are on the way.

The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Chattanooga, is proud to present “Moments of Grace: A Memory Caregiver Summit”—a heartfelt event designed to uplift, educate, and empower family caregivers through expert guidance, community connection, and practical resources.

The seminar will take place on Saturday, July 19, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at New Hope Presbyterian Church, next door to The Lantern at Morning Pointe of Chattanooga at 7608 Shallowford Road.

A Day of Learning, Fellowship and Renewal

This special day will feature a luncheon, local vendors, fun giveaways and community fellowship with others facing the same situations.

Topics include:

  • New dementia medications: Leqembi, Kisunla and Rexulti
  • Caregiver burnout and self-care
  • Finding grace in caregiving
  • Behavioral management strategies
  • Legal and healthcare planning

  • 2 p.m.Tammy Barber, BS, BA: “How Do I Stay Positive and Renewed While Caring for a Loved One?”
  • 2:45 p.m. – Door prizes and closing prayer

Tickets are $20 and include lunch and a raffle ticket. T-shirts are also available for $20, with proceeds supporting the Morning Pointe Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works to provide nursing scholarships and caregiver support.

Companion care will be provided on-site for loved ones with dementia during the event, so caregivers can participate with peace of mind.
