The Morning Pointe Foundation will hold its 10th Annual Mastering Memory Care Golf Tournament on May 5 at the Lookout Mountain Club.
About the Event
Twenty-five teams will compete, with sponsorships and entry fees supporting the Foundation. The Morning Pointe Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Morning Pointe Senior Living founded by senior healthcare entrepreneurs Greg A. Vital and J. Franklin Farrow. The 501(c)3 nonprofit public service organization was created in 2014 to provide caregiver support programs, sponsor educational awareness events and fund clinical scholarships to advance the care of seniors throughout the Southeast.
“For 10 years, the Mastering Memory Care Golf Tournament has made a meaningful impact, and we are proud to see it continue to grow,” said Vital. “We are deeply grateful to our sponsors and teams whose generosity has fueled the Morning Pointe Foundation’s mission to support education and caregivers across the Southeast. The funds raised not only provide scholarships for aspiring healthcare professionals but also ultimately enhance the care seniors receive — whether at Morning Pointe communities, in hospitals and doctors’ offices, through rehabilitation therapy providers or in other organizations.”

To date, The Foundation has funded more than 146 scholarships at partner schools. In the Chattanooga area, partner schools include Chattanooga State Community College, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Cleveland State Community College and Dalton State College in Dalton, Georgia.
Registration and breakfast will start at 7:30 a.m., with the shotgun start at 8:30. There will be an awards luncheon at 1 p.m. following the tournament.
The Cause
“Each year, the golf tournament provides important support to the Foundation’s mission,” said Morning Pointe Foundation Executive Director Miranda Perez. “It’s always a beautiful venue for a morning of golfing, and all to support students who have a heart to care for seniors but maybe not the funds to pursue or complete their education.”
Sponsorships are available at multiple levels. To register a team or to sponsor the event, please visit morningpointefoundation.com/events/golf/ or contact mperez@ihpllc.com.
In case of rain, the event will be held May 12.
Last year’s tournament raised a record more than $82,000.
Founded in 1997 by Tennessee healthcare entrepreneurs Greg A.
