FRANKLIN, Tenn. (October 13, 2025) — The spotlight is ready to shine! Tomorrow, Tuesday, October 14, at 7 p.m., twelve incredible seniors from across Middle Tennessee will light up the stage for the 7th Annual Morning Pointe Seniors Got Talent Franklin showcase at the historic Franklin Theatre. Presented by the Morning Pointe Foundation, this highly anticipated event promises an unforgettable evening of music, laughter, and inspiration as performers prove that passion and talent only grow stronger with age.
From soulful singers and gifted musicians to unforgettable specialty acts, each finalist is ready to deliver an evening of entertainment, inspiration, and community spirit—all competing for the $1,000 grand prize.
Meet this year’s finalists:
- Lucius Talley, 86 – Percussionist (Spoons) – Nashville
- Chris Maze with Hobo Road – Chris Maze (Lead Singer, 65), Joe Lawrence (Rhythm Guitar, 74), and Daniel Pierce (Lead Guitar and Bass Pedals, 74), all from Nashville
- John Koski, 60 – Singer – Nashville
- Barry Cardinael, 77 – Pianist/Composer/Singer – Antioch
- Alicia Mahon, 74 – Singer – Franklin
- Dwaine Allison, 64 – Singing Guitarist – Franklin
- Gabe Lamog, 61 – Caribbean Steel Drums Player – Old Hickory/Wilson County
- Gail Valorani, 69 – Singer (with pianist accompanist) – Franklin
- Billy Robbins, 66 – Singer – Cumberland Furnace
- Brian Hanson, 69 – Singing Pianist – Nashville
- Randy Spencer (65) & Cathey Nelson (63) – Musical Duo – Nashville/Donelson
- Diane Lynne, 61 – Singer – Old Hickory/Wilson County
These performers will vie for the following prizes:
- $1,000 – First Place
- $500 – Second Place
- $250 – Third Place
- People’s Choice Award (determined by audience vote)
“We’ve sold out for the past two years, and the energy from the audience and the talent on stage just keeps getting better,” said Miranda Perez, executive director of the Morning Pointe Foundation. “It’s such a joy to see our seniors celebrated while raising funds to support the next generation of healthcare heroes.”
Beyond the applause and excitement, Morning Pointe Seniors Got Talent Franklin serves a greater purpose. Proceeds from sponsorships, ticket sales, and People’s Choice votes directly fund scholarships for nursing and allied health students through the Morning Pointe Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit advancing senior care through education and community partnerships. Scholarships benefit students at TCAT–Williamson, Motlow State Community College, and Columbia State Community College, among others—and to date, the Foundation has awarded over 170 scholarships across the Southeast.
