The Morning Pointe of Danville, Kentucky, campus invites local businesses and organizations to delight the greater community by participating in its Festival of Trees.

Participants will decorate themed Christmas trees to drop off by Wednesday, Dec. 11 for display. Senior residents, employees, and visitors to the campus will vote on their favorites, and the winner from each building will receive a holiday gift basket… and bragging rights. The winner will be announced on Thursday, Dec. 19.

The campus includes the brand-new Morning Pointe of Danville Assisted Living at 100 Birney Place and The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Danville next door at 1375 Perryville Road. Visitors at Morning Pointe of Danville’s Grand Opening Holiday Event on Thursday, Dec., 12, from 4-7 p.m. will have a chance to vote.

“This is our first Christmas as a two-building campus, and we are so excited to celebrate the holidays with our wider Kentucky community,” said Lisa Popplewell, community relations director at Morning Pointe of Danville Assisted Living. “We know there are so many creative teams in our area, and we can’t wait to see what they come up with for their trees. Residents at both of our buildings will get to enjoy the themes and holiday cheer, and we’re happy to help facilitate some friendly competition among our neighbors.”

To participate in the Festival of Trees, contact Popplewell for the assisted living community at 859-306-0202 or Vickey Condit, community relations director at The Lantern memory care community at 859-965-1008.

Both Morning Pointe of Danville communities offer nursing, clinical and care staff available 24 hours a day; a full life enrichment program; on-site therapy services; and nutritious meals with an emphasis on fresh, local produce. The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence also offers specialized memory care programs such as the Best Friends™ Approach and Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care. The campus recently expanded its model of care to add early-stage Alzheimer’s and dementia care to the services it already offered for residents living with later stages.

Founded in 1997 by healthcare entrepreneurs Greg A. Vital and Franklin Farrow, Morning Pointe Senior Living operates 40 assisted living and Alzheimer’s memory care communities in five southeastern states, including 13 in Kentucky.
