DANVILLE, Ky. — March 26, 2026 — At 87 years old, Glen Majors, a resident at Morning Pointe Senior Living, is offering a powerful reminder that wellness is not about age, but about intention.
Glen, a resident at Morning Pointe of Danville Assisted Living, embraces each day with movement, purpose, and a steady routine that keeps both his body and spirit strong. Whether outdoors or inside, he makes it a goal to walk three laps daily, adapting to the weather but never skipping the habit.
His approach reflects Morning Pointe Senior Living’s March theme, “A World of Wellness,” which highlights the importance of nurturing the mind, body, and spirit at every stage of life.
Glen credits his lifelong work in forestry and farming, along with his faith, for the strength and resilience he carries today. But he is quick to point out that staying well requires continued effort.
“You must keep your mind and body moving, or it will give out,” Glen said.
Beyond his daily walks, Glen stays engaged through activities that bring both joy and connection. He participates in BINGO, enjoys musical entertainment, and takes part in morning devotions and Bible studies, creating a well-rounded routine that supports both physical and emotional well-being.
“Glen is a great example of what we always encourage for our residents,” said Christy Sleeper, Life Enrichment Director at Morning Pointe of Danville Assisted Living. “He stays active, involved, and positive, and that kind of mindset makes such a difference in overall well-being. It is inspiring to see him continue to embrace each day with purpose.”
Morning Pointe Senior Living communities incorporate these principles into daily life through thoughtfully designed programs that encourage residents to stay active, socially connected, and mentally engaged.
As Glen continues his daily laps and meaningful routines, his story serves as a quiet but powerful example: wellness is not defined by age, but by the choices made each day to keep moving forward.
