In-person tryouts are happening starting July 20 for the 4th Annual Morning Pointe Foundation Seniors Got Talent show in Lexington.
The show will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 12, at 7 p.m. at the Lexington Opera House.
The Foundation puts on the show in conjunction with Morning Pointe Senior Living. However, auditions are open to any senior 62+, not just Morning Pointe residents. Ten seniors or senior groups will be selected from the auditions. Acts have included singers, musicians, dancers, poets, comedians and more. The grand prize winner will receive $500. Prizes will also be given to second- and third-place winners, as well as a People’s Choice winner.
All proceeds will go to the Morning Pointe Foundation, 501(c)3 nonprofit public service organization that provides caregiver support programs, sponsors educational awareness events, and funds clinical scholarships throughout the Southeast.
In-person auditions will take place July 20-28 at local Morning Pointe Senior Living campuses, allowing residents to enjoy live entertainment:

Interested seniors can submit audition videos online at morningpointefoundation.com/registerlexington/ through the end of the month. Acts showcasing talents of all kinds are welcome but should not exceed three minutes in length.
So far, acts signed up to try out include dancers, a dulcimer player, a pianist, a band and more.

Dillon Gaudet, morning meteorologist at ABC36, will serve as the master of ceremonies for the second year.
Tickets for the Morning Pointe Foundation Seniors Got Talent show are $10 and will go on sale in August.
