Lori Cooper named new executive director of Morning Pointe of Lexington-East

Morning Pointe of Lexington-East Senior Living and Memory Care, recently named Lori Cooper as its new executive director.

In this role, Cooper oversees daily operations at the personal care community located at 150 Shoreside Drive. She works with a team of directors, nurses, nursing assistants and other support staff to provide quality resident care and family support.

Cooper has a background in healthcare administration and support for community living administration, as well as in crisis and substance abuse counseling. She has worked in senior living for five years.

“A family member introduced me to the senior living field,” said Cooper. “I enjoy that I can be a part of the residents’ lives.”

Staci Dennis, regional vice president for Morning Pointe Senior Living, shared, “Lori comes to us from a facility in Louisville where she would once a month choose five or six residents to eat lunch with. She has already brought that compassion and devotion to her staff and residents to Morning Pointe of Lexington-East. We are proud to have Lori on our Morning Pointe team.”

Originally from Vanceburg, Kentucky, Cooper currently lives in Morehead, Kentucky. She has four children and eight grandchildren. Her hobbies include fishing, cooking out and being outdoors.
