Morning Pointe of Lexington-East Assisted Living and Memory Care, located at 150 Shoreside Drive, announces Netza Mullins as its new executive director.
In the ED role, Mullins oversees daily operations at the senior living community, working alongside a dedicated team of directors, nurses, nursing assistants and support staff. Together, they deliver personalized care programs that promote health, independence and meaningful experiences for residents while providing essential support to their families. Mullins also mentors and trains other Morning Pointe Senior Living associates.
With a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Mullins brings more than 40 years of healthcare experience, including over a decade in senior living, to the leadership role. Several of those years were as the executive director at sister community Morning Pointe of Richmond, Kentucky, where she assisted with the successful transition from an assisted living and memory care community to fully assisted living.
“I have always been drawn to seniors, but after my dad experienced a stroke in 2009 and was placed in a skilled nursing facility, I knew I wanted to be a part of this field at some Ievel,” Mullins said. “I love getting to know the residents and their families. They have so much knowledge, and they love the opportunity to have someone to share it with.”
Originally from Rockcastle County, Kentucky, Mullins currently resides in Richmond with her husband of 35 years, Bill Mullins. They have been active members at Porter Memorial Baptist Church in Lexington for 30 years.
“We are so happy to welcome Netza back to Morning Pointe as executive director,” said Kendell Stratton, vice president of operations for Morning Pointe Senior Living’s Bluegrass Region. “She made a positive impact when she was with our Richmond campus, and we know she will do the same at our Lexington-East community.”
