In light of the recent hailstorm that impacted the greater Owensboro area, Morning Pointe of Owensboro Assisted Living has postponed its planned grand opening celebration originally scheduled for April 10. A new date will be announced soon.

What the Grand Opening Will Showcase

The grand opening, when rescheduled, will highlight Morning Pointe’s $2.5 million transformation of the assisted living campus, located at 3362 Buckland Square. Guests can expect a formal program and ribbon-cutting, guided tours, music, and heavy hors d’oeuvres.

Acquired by regional senior living provider Morning Pointe Senior Living in September, the Owensboro community has undergone extensive upgrades—both in services and design—to better meet the evolving needs of Kentucky seniors and meet state licensing requirements for a comprehensive level of assisted living.

“We’re proud to bring Morning Pointe’s signature standard of care to Owensboro,” said Greg A. Vital, co-founder and president of Morning Pointe Senior Living. “We’ve served Kentucky seniors for more than 20 years, and we’re honored to now be part of this strong and caring community.”

“We are incredibly thankful that our residents and associates remained safe,” said Karleigh Roby, executive director at Morning Pointe of Owensboro. “A lot of families and businesses are dealing with repairs and that’s where the focus needs to be right now. We look forward to welcoming our greater community to visit us after those immediate needs are addressed.”

Although the grand opening formal event is postponed, Morning Pointe of Owensboro is continuing to welcome new seniors. Assisted living apartments are available, and staff are ready to offer tours and answer questions for families exploring senior care options.
