If you’ve ever driven a Ford, there’s a chance Norma Cranfield helped it run. Born in Jamestown, Kentucky in 1934, she spent most of her life in Cincinnati, Ohio, standing proud on the line for more than 20 years, building transmissions with steady hands and a can-do spirit. Off the clock, she managed rental properties around the city—proof that grit and grace can share the same address.
At 90, Norma wears her health like a quiet badge of honor. She has known deep loss, having outlived her two children, and yet she keeps moving forward—soft-spoken, steady, and strong.

Last year, life came full circle. Norma moved back to Kentucky to be close to her granddaughters—both nurses at Ephraim McDowell Hospital—who now return the care she once gave so freely. Ask her what she’s proud of, and she’ll smile: the work, the years, the family. Ask her what’s next, and she’ll tell you—more good days at Morning Pointe of Danville.
