The Morning Pointe Foundation and the Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) Dickson recently announced a new nursing scholarship partnership for students.
About the Nursing Scholarship
The Morning Pointe Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Morning Pointe Senior Living. The 501(c)(3) non-profit organization provides scholarship opportunities, forms community partnerships and supports caregivers in its mission to advance the care of seniors throughout the Southeast. The Foundation has provided 146 scholarships since its founding in 2014.
“Partners like TCAT are critical to the success of the Morning Pointe Foundation as we strive to provide financial support for students pursuing careers related to senior care,” said Miranda Perez, executive director of the Morning Pointe Foundation. “We are so excited to be able to support their students.”
The Foundation is bestowing $1,000 per year for nursing students.
“TCAT Dickson students on our Williamson Campus benefit from our new partnership with Morning Pointe,” said Stephanie Murphy, RN, director of nursing and health careers at TCAT Dickson. “Students gain valuable experience through clinical opportunities, and nursing scholarships help students succeed. Nursing school is demanding, and scholarships help students overcome barriers to completing the year long program. TCAT Practical Nursing graduates are eligible to take the national licensure exam and join the local healthcare workforce. This is a win-win for Williamson County, and we appreciate that Morning Pointe takes an interest in our mission to educate future nurses in the Williamson County area.”
“Skilled caregivers like our Morning Pointe Foundation scholars are an incredibly precious resource,” said Greg A. Vital, co-founder and president of Morning Pointe Senior Living. “It is our privilege to assist in bringing new and passionate caregivers into the field.”
