From an Elvis tribute artist to “The Lord’s Prayer” to an Everly Brothers medley, the Morning Pointe Foundation’s 5th Annual Seniors Got Talent show in Lexington offers a wide variety of performances.
Seniors Got Talent, produced by the Morning Pointe Foundation in partnership with Morning Pointe Senior Living, is less than a week away. The show is on Tuesday, Sept. 10, at 7 p.m. at the Lexington Opera House (401 W Short St.).
Tickets are $10 plus Ticketmaster fees. They are available on the Lexington Opera House website or MorningPointeFoundation.com/seniorsgottalent.
The show will open with last year’s winner, singer Ron Cheak, performing “I Love Being Here With You.”
Performers are ages 61-84 and include:
- Endre Samu (65) – Elvis tribute artist performing “Suspicious Minds”
- Sentimental Journeys (66 and 73) – musical duo performing a medley of “Bye Bye Love” and “Wake Up, Little Susie”
- Gigi Hampton and Yolanda Graham-Green (61 and 71) – violinist and pianist performing “The Lord’s Prayer”
- Annette Dence (65) – singer performing “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue”
- The Beatnixs (64-78) – a drum line group performing to “Bandstand Boogie”
- Mark Smith (63) – singer/guitarist performing a medley of “(What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love, and Understanding” and “Get Together”
- Collins and Cox (63 and 65) – musical duo performing a medley of “Thank God I’m a Country Boy,” “Jambalaya,” and “Tiger by the Tail”
- Sally Kelton (64) – harpist performing “New Blues”
- Jerry and Kim St. Saviour (65 and 63) – musical duo performing “My God is Able to Do Anything”
- Lexington Tap and Jazz Company (61-83) – dancing group performing to “Fever”
- Keith Williams (64) – singer/songwriter performing “I Don’t Have to Put Up With You”
- Overtones Barbershop Quartet (65-84) – singing group performing “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot”
Acts are competing for the $1,000 grand prize, $500 second-place prize and $250 third-place prize. Show attendees will also be able to vote for the People’s Choice Award winner for $1 per vote, with funds going to the Morning Pointe Foundation.
