Morning Pointe of Danville Assisted Living, Phase II of the Morning Pointe of Danville campus, is officially open and began welcoming residents on Oct. 8.

Twenty-six seniors moved in the first day, with friendly help from campus associates, staff members from other Morning Pointe Senior Living communities and regional and corporate leaders. These new residents at the assisted living community, located at 100 Birney Place, moved next door from the original building, Morning Pointe of Danville Assisted Living and Memory Care.

“We have been anticipating this day for a long time, and to see the residents’ excitement as they walked into their new apartments was a wonderful experience,” said Lisa Keller, senior executive director at Morning Pointe of Danville. “It was a busy but rewarding day, turning our community from just a building into a true home.”

The new one-level assisted living community is continuing to welcome new residents. Multiple floor plans available, including spacious assisted living apartments and 14 suites with kitchenettes and stackable washer/dryer combos. For inquiries, call 859-306-0202, or stop by the community.

“What an exciting day, and a chance to bring more senior services to the beautiful Danville area,” said Greg A. Vital, Morning Pointe Senior Living co-founder and president. “We are committed to serving more seniors and their families in Kentucky, offering more assisted living apartments and expanded memory care services on campus.”

With the growth of the campus, the original building at 1375 Perryville Road is now officially The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Danville. It, too, is taking reservations for new residents. For inquiries, call 859-965-1008, or stop by the community.

The Lantern now offers two distinct care levels: Lamplight for early stages of Alzheimer’s and dementia care and Lantern for the more advanced stages. Care staff are specially trained in memory care, and programming includes the Best Friends™ Approach, Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach™ to Care, Meaningful Day™ purposeful programming, music therapy, art therapy and cuddle therapy.
