Morning Pointe Senior Living Opens 2025 Annual Conference with Insightful Message on Purposeful Leadership

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — December 4, 2025 —Morning Pointe Senior Living opened its 2025 Leadership Annual Conference with a powerful reminder of why leadership matters—and how the smallest decisions can shape the lives of residents, families, and team members.

Leaders from Morning Pointe’s 42 assisted living and memory care communities across five states, together with the corporate home office team, gathered under the direction of Co-Founders Greg Vital and Franklin Farrow. The annual event centered on reconnection, shared purpose, and strengthening Morning Pointe’s commitment to helping residents live their best lives.
A highlight of the conference was guest speaker Tom Griscom, a communications consultant and seasoned leader with a distinguished career spanning journalism, public affairs, and corporate strategy.
Drawing from his early work with U.S. Senator Howard Baker and his later service as White House Communications Director under President Ronald Reagan, Mr. Griscom offered a unique perspective on influence, integrity, and the responsibility that accompanies leadership.

Mr. Griscom spoke candidly about navigating challenges, recognizing opportunities others overlook, and knowing when to take thoughtful risks. He shared the behind-the-scenes story of one of the most defining lines of the 20th century — “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down that wall.”

Rather than focusing on grand gestures, he emphasized that leadership is rarely linear; instead, it is shaped by the everyday choices that reveal character, intention, and commitment. His message underscored how impactful leadership often emerges quietly, through preparation, courage, and the willingness to take a stand when it matters most.
He highlighted how these principles resonate deeply within senior living, where leadership often emerges in quiet, meaningful moments—supporting a resident who needs encouragement, guiding a family through uncertainty, or listening to an associate who needs to be heard. These actions, he noted, are the foundation of trust and the heart of impactful service.
“We are incredibly grateful to Tom for joining us,” said Mr. Vital. “His insight and experience offered tremendous value to every leader in the room.”

Conference organizers said attendees left encouraged and reenergized, grounded in purpose and united in their commitment to lead with heart, vision, and resilience—whether in strategic planning meetings or in the everyday spaces where community life unfolds.
