Owensboro Caregiver Honored with Annual Morning Pointe Resident Care Award

Owensboro, KY — December 8, 2025 — Morning Pointe Senior Living, which operates 42 communities and employs more than 2,000 associates across five states, is celebrating one of its own this year as Liwisa Pwohn, a caregiver at Morning Pointe of Owensboro Assisted Living, received the organization’s Exceeding Expectations Award in Resident Care at the Annual Holiday Party & Awards Banquet.

Liwisa has worked at the Owensboro community for seven years, including the past year under Morning Pointe’s leadership following the 2024 acquisition of the longtime assisted living community. Since then, Morning Pointe has invested $2.5 million in major interior and exterior renovations while expanding care services to better support local seniors.

Known for leading with kindness, steadiness, and a calm confidence her teammates admire, Liwisa is often the first to comfort a resident and the last to leave until everyone is cared for. Reflecting on the recognition, she shared, “there are so many people doing great work so to be recognized like this is a huge honor, thank you morning pointe.”

“Celebrating our associates and communities is more than tradition — it is the foundation of what sets Morning Pointe apart,” said Greg Vital, Co-Founder, Morning Pointe Senior Living. “Their unwavering commitment to quality care and meaningful service is what creates true peace of mind for the residents and families who rely on us every day.”
