STOP Scams Lunch & Learn Coming to Morning Pointe Senior Living Campus in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. —May 13, 2026— With financial scams becoming increasingly sophisticated and common, Morning Pointe Senior Living’s Lexington campus is partnering with Team Kentucky Stop Scams and the Kentucky State Police to host a free community Lunch & Learn focused on scam awareness and prevention.

The STOP Scams Lunch & Learn will take place Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Morning Pointe Senior Living, located at 233 Ruccio Way in Lexington.

Representatives from the Kentucky Department of Financial Institutions’ Team Kentucky Stop Scams initiative and Kentucky State Police will lead presentations designed to help attendees learn how to recognize warning signs of scams, protect personal information, and understand steps to take if they become victims of fraud.

The event is open to the public and will include lunch, educational resources, and opportunities for attendees to connect with experts following the presentation.

Scams targeting older adults continue to impact families across Kentucky, from phone and email fraud to identity theft and financial exploitation. Organizers hope the event will provide practical tools and peace of mind for seniors, caregivers, and community members alike.

Resource tables will remain open after the presentation for guests seeking additional information and support materials.
