Morning Pointe of Chattanooga recently welcomed Dr. Ralph Alvarado, Commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Health, on a visit.
Dr. Alvarado is touring local health departments and visiting Tennessee Department of Health staff across the state. He is meeting as many health and healthcare partners as possible. He made a multi-day visit to southeastern Tennessee to spend time with local leaders and partners, such as Morning Pointe Senior Living, that share his passion for serving older adults, to learn about their work, hear their concerns and introduce himself.
Morning Pointe Senior Living leaders, in addition to the community’s staff, welcomed Dr. Alvarado and answered questions about the company.
“Dr. Alvarado’s time and engagement was very much appreciated,” said Franklin Farrow, co-founder and CEO of Morning Pointe Senior Living. “That he chose to spend his time with us was a true privilege as he works toward his goal of addressing health needs across our state with citizens of all ages.”
Dr. Alvarado was appointed to the commissioner position in January of this year. He oversees the Department of Health for the state.
“We appreciate the Morning Pointe staff for taking time to tell us about the great work you do and for the tour of your facility,” Dr. Alvarado said. “I am very passionate about supporting older adults and promoting health across the lifespan.”
Greg A. Vital, president of Morning Pointe Senior Living and Tennessee State Representative for District 29, shared: “We were honored by Dr. Alvarado’s visit as he strives to best support senior care services in Tennessee. We were proud to show him our beautiful Chattanooga building and how our team is excelling in helping our seniors continue to live vibrant lives.”
