The Lantern at Morning Pointe of Russell receives company’s Operational Achievement Award

Morning Pointe Senior Living leadership recognized The Lantern at Morning Pointe of Russell, Kentucky, on Dec. 6 with its Operational Achievement Award for 2023.

The award was presented at Morning Pointe’s annual conference in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where the company is based. It recognizes excellence in operations, including Standards of Excellence survey results and financial responsibility.

Cheryl Stephens, executive director at The Lantern, accepted the award on behalf of her community.

“I felt humbled, overwhelmed and grateful to receive this award on behalf of the Russell Lantern Team,” said Stephens. “This award is a testament to the team’s dedication, passion and love for our residents and families. Our leadership team has been here for a long time, and they demonstrate a true passion to do whatever it takes to serve others.”

Greg A. Vital, president and co-founder of Morning Pointe Senior Living, said: “Operations is what makes it possible for us to serve our residents and their families. We are proud of the team at The Lantern Morning Pointe of Russell in making their campus run smoothly for the benefit of these great seniors.”

Founded in 1997 by Tennessee healthcare entrepreneurs Greg A. Vital and Franklin Farrow, Morning Pointe Senior Living owns and operates 38 senior living and Alzheimer’s memory care communities in five southeastern states.

The philanthropic arm of Morning Pointe Senior Living is the Morning Pointe Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works to provide clinical scholarships and caregiver support.
