For the second year in a row, the Morning Pointe Foundation will run a Best of the Best contest in which the public can vote on their favorite winner from the four Seniors Got Talent showcases in 2023.
Voting starts Monday, Jan. 8, and will run through Jan. 31. Votes are cast online in the form of donations to the Morning Pointe Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides caregiver support programs, sponsors educational awareness events, and funds clinical scholarships to advance the care of seniors throughout the Southeast.
Each grand-prize winner from the variety shows in Chattanooga, Franklin, and Knoxville, Tennessee, as well as Lexington, Kentucky, is in the running for the Best of the Best title.
Contestants are:
- Bonnie Hannah, pianist – Chattanooga, TN
- Ron Cheak, singer – Lexington KY
- Jack Wise, pianist – Franklin, TN
- Corkey Miller, comedian – Knoxville, TN

Seniors Got Talent variety shows in each location are open to any talented seniors age 60 and older. Acts have included singers, musicians, dancers, poets, comedians and more.
“We had some really strong acts and winners this past year,” said Miranda Perez, Morning Pointe Foundation executive director. “And now we’re excited to share the voting process with the general public, while raising funds for scholarships. The Foundation’s scholarships expanded this past year, and we are so glad to be able to serve more students in making their dreams come true.”
The Morning Pointe Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Morning Pointe Senior Living founded by senior healthcare entrepreneurs Greg A. Vital and J. Franklin Farrow. The public service organization was created in 2014 and has bestowed 111 scholarships in the Southeast to date.
Founded in 1997 by Vital and Farrow, Morning Pointe Senior Living owns and operates 38 assisted living, personal care, and Alzheimer’s memory care communities in five southeastern states: Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama and Indiana.
