The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence Chattanooga Earns Deficiency-Free Health and Life Safety Inspections

Chattanooga, TN. (February 25, 2026) — The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Chattanooga, has earned a Deficiency-Free Annual Health Licensure Inspection and Annual Life Safety Inspection from the Tennessee Department of Health, an achievement that highlights the community’s commitment to safety, quality care, and operational excellence.

Senior health care communities across Tennessee undergo unannounced inspections each year. The health licensure survey reviews every aspect of resident care, including medication management, nutrition and hygiene practices, staffing levels and staff training, accurate record keeping, and resident and family feedback. The annual life safety inspection evaluates building systems, fire protection measures, emergency preparedness, and overall environmental safety to ensure compliance with state regulations. Surveyors observe care firsthand and conduct on-site interviews to confirm that standards are consistently met.

“We are incredibly proud of our team for this accomplishment,” said Nena Mitchell, Executive Director at The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence Chattanooga. “A deficiency-free health licensure and life safety inspection reflects the consistency, compassion, and accountability our associates bring to their roles each day. Our residents and families place their trust in us, and this recognition affirms our commitment to providing safe, high-quality memory care.”
