Morning Pointe Foundation Announces Miranda Perez As New Executive Director

Miranda Perez has been named Executive Director of the Morning Pointe Foundation. Perez will be responsible for the strategic growth and development of the nonprofit coordinating caregiver support programs, funding for scholarships, and community outreach.

Since its creation in 2014, the Morning Pointe Foundation has awarded over 65 scholarships through 12 community colleges and universities. The Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Morning Pointe Senior Living founded by senior healthcare entrepreneurs Greg A. Vital and Franklin Farrow. The 501(c)3 nonprofit public service organization provides caregiver support programs, educational awareness events, and funds clinical scholarships to advance the care of seniors.

“As the Morning Pointe Foundation continues to partner with more universities and community colleges through nursing scholarships and grows its Morning Pointe Seniors Got Talent showcase series, I could not be more excited about this appointment and the work of the Foundation,” says Greg A. Vital, president of Morning Pointe Senior Living.

Perez has long-term ties to Hamilton County and is past executive director of the Ooltewah Harrison Education Foundation, also known as “D9,” as well as a small business owner, event planner, and marketing specialist. She owned the boutique Owl Cove from 2019-2022, and as the owner, Miranda worked with various schools and nonprofits giving back to community.

Miranda has a strong history of community involvement and raising monies for public schools, nonprofits, and families in need. “I am thrilled to accept this leadership role and build on the amazing framework of the Morning Pointe Foundation. I love community and making a difference and this is the perfect opportunity for the next phase of my professional career.”
Morning Pointe Senior Living, a Chattanooga, Tenn.-based senior healthcare services company, owns and manages 36 Morning Pointe assisted living, personal care and Alzheimer’s memory care communities in five southeastern states. Morning Pointe was founded in 1997 and is celebrating 25 years of service this year.

Perez is married to Marcus Perez and they have two children, Aiden and Autumn. She enjoys being involved in community events and cheering for her children at their sporting events. Miranda graduated in 2011 from Kennesaw State University with a bachelor of science degree in communications. She is a Marietta, Georgia, native who is a huge fan of the Georgia Bulldogs but, with pride, calls Ooltewah home.
