Morning Pointe Senior Living leadership recognized multiple senior living and Alzheimer’s memory care communities on Dec. 7 at its annual conference, honoring their unique dedication to residents and their families. Each year, Morning Pointe acknowledges top-performing teams of caregivers, directors, and customer service associates from its 37 communities across the Southeast.
This year, Morning Pointe is celebrating its 25th anniversary.
“It is my pleasure to announce these stand-out award winners,” said Greg A. Vital, president of Morning Pointe. “We are proud of the teams at each of these communities as they work together to not only meet the needs of our residents and their families but exceed them.”
Exceeding Expectations Awards went to:
- Jennifer Willingham, RN, Director of Nursing at The Lantern at Morning Pointe of Collegedale, TN, for the Appalachian Region
- Josiah Barkdoll, Lantern Program Coordinator at Morning Pointe of Lexington-East, KY, for the Bluegrass Region
- Sharon Hollie, Lantern Program Director at Morning Pointe of Tuscaloosa, AL, for the Cumberland Region
- Lauren Lee, Senior Vice President of Accounting and Analytics, for the Home Office

Community-wide honors presented included:
The 2022 Community of the Year award was presented to Morning Pointe of Powell, TN. Leslee Wilkinson is the Executive Director.
The Morning Pointe Foundation Award was presented to The Lantern at Morning Pointe of Franklin, TN. Lori Domer is the Executive Director.
The Fiscal Responsibility Award was presented to Morning Pointe of Russell, KY. Tammy Muffley is the Executive Director.
The Associate Satisfaction Award was presented to Morning Pointe of Richmond, KY. Cristy Winkler is the Executive Director.
The Operational Achievement Award was presented to the Morning Pointe of Knoxville, TN. Kristy Ritch is the Senior Executive Director.
The Chairman’s Award was presented to Morning Pointe of Calhoun, GA. Traci Clements is the Executive Director.
Morning Pointe also recognized the 25 communities that hit 100% census during the year.
“The winners of these community awards exemplify the spirit and values that Franklin Farrow and I first envisioned for Morning Pointe 25 years ago,” Vital said. “We are extremely grateful for these associates who have set the bar high in serving seniors for generations to come.”
