A Community Effort to Keep Neighbors Warm This Winter

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — January 13, 2026 — As winter temperatures settle in, Morning Pointe of Knoxville is inviting the community to come together for a simple but meaningful effort: keeping neighbors warm.

The assisted living and memory care community has partnered with Angelic Ministries International to host The Giving Tree, a cold-weather clothing drive benefiting individuals and families in need across the Knoxville area. The drive runs through Saturday, January 31.

Community members are encouraged to donate gently used or new coats, jackets, hats, gloves, and other winter essentials. Donations may be dropped off in the front lobby at Morning Pointe of Knoxville, where a Giving Tree has been set up to collect items.

“This is one of those opportunities where a small act can make a real difference,” said Kristy Ritch, Executive Director at Morning Pointe of Knoxville. “An extra coat or pair of gloves can mean warmth, comfort, and dignity for someone during the coldest days of the year.”

The Giving Tree reflects Morning Pointe’s ongoing commitment to serving as a community partner and supporting local organizations that meet everyday needs.

The drive is open to the public, and all donations will be distributed through Angelic Ministries International.
