A simple way to celebrate Mother’s Day while supporting local businesses

RUSSELL, KY — April 27, 2026—A spring afternoon of shopping, music, and community connection is set to take place in Russell as Morning Pointe Senior Living hosts a campus-wide Mother’s Day Market on Saturday, May 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Held outdoors at the Morning Pointe of Russell campus, the event will feature more than 40 local vendors offering a wide variety of items, from handmade goods and accessories to sweet treats and unique gifts. Food trucks and live entertainment will round out the experience, creating an easy, enjoyable outing for families and friends.

The market is designed to give the community a chance to slow down, stroll, and find something meaningful for the mothers in their lives while also supporting small businesses from the surrounding area.

“This event brings together so many things people love — local shopping, good food, and time spent together,” said a Morning Pointe representative. “It’s a great way to celebrate Mother’s Day while also supporting the people and businesses that make this community special.”

The Mother’s Day Market is open to the public and will take place at 1000 Addington Drive in Russell.

Proceeds from the event will support the Morning Pointe Foundation, whose mission is to advance the care and strengthen the delivery of senior services for generations to come. The Foundation provides caregiver education and scholarships in fields such as nursing, culinary arts, social work, and therapy across the Southeast.
