An Evening to Remember: Senior Prom Brings Hollywood Glam to Franklin

FRANKLIN, Ind. — May 6, 2026 — For many, prom is a moment frozen in time. This spring in Franklin, that memory is getting a second chance.

Morning Pointe of Franklin Assisted Living and Memory Care is inviting seniors across the community to relive the magic with a “Senior Prom: Hollywood Glam” on Thursday, May 14, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Scott Hall at the Johnson County Fairgrounds.

Designed for adults ages 55 and older, the evening blends nostalgia with new experiences. Guests can enjoy dinner, a comedy show, a live DJ with dancing, mocktails, a photo booth, and a silent auction, all in a festive, red carpet-inspired setting. Dressing up is optional but encouraged, giving attendees the chance to embrace the Hollywood theme in their own way.

The event is open to the public, with tickets priced at $5 per person or $8 per couple. Organizers are also making the experience accessible by inviting guests to request transportation, attire assistance, or share dietary needs when they RSVP.

Beyond the fun, the evening carries a deeper purpose. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Morning Pointe Foundation, the Alzheimer’s Association, Johnson County Senior Services, and Ivy Tech Community College, supporting education, resources, and care initiatives that strengthen the local community and support seniors and families.

Events like this reflect a growing understanding that connection, celebration, and joy remain essential at every stage of life. Whether attending with a partner, a friend, or simply for the experience, guests can expect an evening that feels both familiar and refreshingly new.

The Morning Pointe Foundation’s mission is to advance the care and strengthen the delivery of senior services for generations to come. As the philanthropic arm of Morning Pointe Senior Living, the foundation provides caregiver education programs and scholarships in nursing, culinary, social work, and therapy through school partners across the Southeast, including Ivy Tech Community College, which Morning Pointe of Franklin proudly supports locally. These efforts help invest in future caregivers and strengthen resources for seniors and families.
