Healthy Hearing, Clearer Living: What Aging Adults Should Know

Lexington, Ky. — April 1, 2026 — Hearing health often changes gradually, but its impact on daily life can be significant. To help bring awareness and practical guidance to this important topic, Morning Pointe Senior Living’s Lexington campus is inviting the community to a special educational event focused on hearing and healthy aging.

“Bites and Insights” will take place on Thursday, April 16, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Morning Pointe of Lexington Assisted Living, located at 233 Ruccio Way, Lexington, KY 40503. The event is open to the public and designed for seniors, caregivers, and families who want to better understand how hearing health connects to overall well-being.

The program will feature guest speaker Dr. Janet Chasen from The Hearing and Speech Center, who will present “Sweet Sound Bite,” an engaging discussion on healthy hearing and aging. Attendees can expect helpful insights on recognizing changes in hearing, understanding their effects on communication and cognitive health, and learning practical steps to stay connected and engaged.

Complimentary lunch and beverages will be provided, creating a relaxed and welcoming setting for both learning and conversation.

“This is a topic that impacts so many people as they age, but it’s not always talked about early enough,” said Chase Williams, Executive Director at Morning Pointe of Lexington Assisted Living. “We want to create a space where people feel comfortable asking questions, learning something new, and taking simple steps that can make a real difference in their day-to-day lives.”

While supported by the full Lexington campus, including The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, the event will be held at Morning Pointe of Lexington Assisted Living.

Those interested in attending are encouraged to arrive a few minutes early to enjoy lunch and secure seating. For more information or to RSVP, please call (859) 309-4867.
