From September 8-14, Morning Pointe Senior Living communities around the Southeast will celebrate National Assisted Living Week. The theme this year is “Inspiring Generations.”

This special week will feature intergenerational activities, family events and volunteer opportunities, designed to bring together residents, families and the community. The celebration aims to highlight the meaningful connections between generations, showcasing the wisdom and experiences of senior residents while fostering bonds with younger generations. The week always starts on Grandparents Day, the second Sunday in September.

To celebrate, Morning Pointe’s 38 senior living communities in Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama and Indiana have put together a week filled with activities that center around reminiscing.

Morning Pointe of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, will hold a fashion and talent show on Grandparents Day. And Morning Pointe of Brentwood, Tennessee, will host its 11th Annual Hootenanny on Sept. 12 from 4-6 p.m. with a four-piece band, barbecue and cornhole.

“Our commitment at Morning Pointe has always been to provide an experience that nurtures physical, emotional, and intellectual well-being,” said Amanda Yelenick, vice president of life enrichment at Morning Pointe Senior Living. “This National Assisted Living Week, we emphasize the value of passing on our stories and positive examples to the generations to come.”
