On Tuesday, May 9, The Morning Pointe Foundation will host its latest free Caregiver Café webinar, “Senior Medications and Fall Risks.”
The live virtual event will feature guest speakers Curt Bicknell, Pharm.D., president of Guardian Pharmacy, and Gayle Lee, RN, account manager and nurse educator with Guardian. It will start at 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
Bicknell has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare, and Lee is a board-certified gerontological nurse. They will discuss common risk factors for falls, distinguish preventable falls from non-preventable ones, pinpoint contributing factors, review psychotropic medications commonly linked to falls and provide strategies for seniors to lower their fall risk.
“With falls being so common among senior adults, we are pleased to be able to present free education on this topic and help seniors and caregivers learn some ways to lower their risk of falling,” said Miranda Perez, Morning Pointe Foundation executive director.
Following the presentation, participants can ask live questions of the experts over Zoom. Registrants will also be able to watch the recorded session later.
