Twelve talented senior acts will take the stage at The Franklin Theatre at 419 Main Street on Oct. 15 at 7 p.m.

Performers competing for the $1,000 grand prize include singers, dancers, guitarists, a pianist, and a comedian, spanning the ages of 61-78. Monetary prizes have been added this year for second place ($500) and third place ($250). Show attendees will also be able to vote for the People’s Choice Award winner for $1 per vote, with funds going to the Morning Pointe Foundation.

The Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Morning Pointe Senior Living founded by Tennessee-based senior healthcare entrepreneurs Greg A. Vital and Franklin Farrow. Seniors Got Talent proceeds specifically go toward clinical scholarships for students at area colleges.

Attendees can also purchase tour T-shirts at the show for $25 to support the Foundation.
