The Cause

Proceeds from the event will go to the Morning Pointe Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to advancing senior care through scholarships, caregiver support programs, and educational initiatives throughout the Southeast. It was founded in 2014 by senior healthcare leaders Greg A. Vital and J. Franklin Farrow. The Foundation supports two partner schools in Athens, Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) Athens, and Tennessee Wesleyan University, in addition to Cleveland State Community College down the road in Cleveland.

“We tried something new with our women’s conference last year and had a lot of great feedback from women who were blessed and inspired by the event,” said Crystal Sutton. “We are looking forward to seeing the event grow this year, enjoying fellowship and raising some money for a good cause that directly impacts our greater Athens community through the nursing scholarships the Foundation is able to fund.”

Morning Pointe of Athens, located at 1025 Crestway Drive, provides assisted living services with licensed, clinical or care staff available 24 hours a day; a full life enrichment program; nutritious meals; and on-site physical, occupational and speech therapy services.
