The Women’s Conference
It was a heartfelt afternoon of inspiration, worship, and connection, all in support of senior care scholarships and programs through the Morning Pointe Foundation. The event saw incredible turnout, powerful messages and community-wide support.
“Last year’s women’s conference was special, but this year was phenomenal,” said Crystal Sutton, executive director of Morning Pointe of Athens, who organized the event. “From the messages to the music to the moments of prayer, you could feel God’s presence in the room.”

Headlining the day were speakers Terrie E. Long and Kristy Stafford. Long is a social worker with Starr Regional Medical Center and ordained elder at Orchard Park Seventh-day Adventist Church in Chattanooga. Drawing from John 13:25, Long spoke on the theme of unconditional love. Stafford is the director of nursing at Morning Pointe of Athens. She spoke about God’s creation of women and how they can find their calling.
The program also featured worship music, door prizes from generous community partners and more. Nearly 20 women came to the altar to pray during the afternoon. Attendees left inspired, and social media was abuzz with testimonials and excitement for next year. The event also sold out of its Made for More T-shirts, with additional orders being placed afterward to meet demand.

The Cause
The conference raised over $2,500 net for the Morning Pointe Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to advancing senior care through scholarships, caregiver support programs, and educational initiatives throughout the Southeast. It was founded in 2014 by senior healthcare leaders Greg A. Vital and J. Franklin Farrow. The Foundation supports two partner schools in Athens, Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) Athens, and Tennessee Wesleyan University, in addition to Cleveland State Community College down the road in Cleveland.
