Morning Pointe of Calhoun Celebrates 101st Birthday of Resident Mary Loyce

Calhoun, TN — April 29, 2026—Morning Pointe of Calhoun, located at 660 Jolly Rd NW, Calhoun, GA 30701, is delighted to celebrate a remarkable milestone as resident Mary Loyce recently turned 101 years old. Family, friends, and staff gathered to honor her special day with a beautifully decorated celebration featuring her favorite colors, light refreshments, birthday cake, and cupcakes.

The joyful event reflected the love and appreciation Mary receives from those around her. She expressed deep gratitude throughout the celebration and shared that she is thankful to be part of the Morning Pointe of Calhoun family.

When asked her secret to reaching 101, Mary shared a simple but powerful message: she has always focused on “being herself.”

A Life Full of Love, Purpose, and Connection

Looking back on her life, Mary shared that one of her most cherished memories was the birth of her daughter, Jackie. Over the years, she says her greatest joy has come from being surrounded by people she loves—something she continues to experience daily at Morning Pointe of Calhoun.

“The employees here are like my adopted family,” she shared warmly.

Mary also reflected on her lifelong hobbies, noting that she has enjoyed “a little bit of everything,” especially decorating and staging homes that others would later keep just as she arranged them.

Words of Wisdom for Future Generations

When asked what advice she would give younger generations, Mary offered heartfelt guidance:

  1. Be yourself
  2. Be good to other people
  3. Ask the Lord to take care of you
  4. Love the Lord first, then love yourself

She also shared that she is most grateful for becoming a Christian and emphasized that hard work and making the best of what you have have helped her remain strong and positive throughout her life.

“Mary’s life is a beautiful reflection of faith, kindness, and authenticity,” said Traci Clements, Executive Director of Morning Pointe of Calhoun. “It is an honor to celebrate her 101st birthday and to witness the joy, wisdom, and love she brings to our community every day.”

A Milestone Worth Celebrating

For Mary, turning 101 is a moment of gratitude and reflection. She expressed appreciation for her long and meaningful life and the people who continue to make it special each day.

Morning Pointe of Calhoun is honored to celebrate this extraordinary milestone and to recognize the lasting impact Mary Loyce has on those around her.
