Morning Pointe Seniors Got Talent Lexington Finalists Announced — 11 Acts to Take the Stage Sept. 9

LEXINGTON, Ky. (August 6, 2025) — The stage is set, the lights are ready, and the talent is undeniable—11 remarkable acts have been selected to compete in the 2025 Morning Pointe Seniors Got Talent Lexington showcase, happening Tuesday, September 9 at 7 p.m. at the historic Lexington Opera House (401 W. Short St.).

From singers and musicians to comedians and original acts, this year’s finalists—all age 60 and older—will light up the stage with show-stopping performances that prove talent only grows with age. The event is open to the public and celebrates the creative spirit and vitality of Kentucky’s senior community.

  • Mike Boughey – Singer
  • Reid Myers – Singer/Pianist
  • Robin Gassett – Singer/Songwriter
  • Candace and Company – Musical Trio
  • Dave Cottrell – Comedian
  • Ron Burdene & Sally S. – Singing Duo
  • Keith Williams – Musical Act
  • Denise Martin – Musical Comedian Harpist

“We’ve seen firsthand how these showcases can change lives—two past Seniors Got Talent winners from other Morning Pointe showcases have even gone on to appear on America’s Got Talent,” said Miranda Perez, executive director of the Morning Pointe Foundation. “Who knows what could happen this year? One thing’s for sure—this evening will be full of unforgettable moments, inspiring performances, and incredible local talent from adults aged 60 and up.”

Finalists will compete for:

  • $1,000 First Place Prize
  • $500 Second Place
  • $250 Third Place
  • People’s Choice Award, determined by audience vote

Morning Pointe Seniors Got Talent isn’t just a showcase of timeless talent—it’s also a meaningful fundraiser for the Morning Pointe Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to advancing senior care through education and community partnerships.

Proceeds from ticket sales, sponsorships, and People’s Choice voting directly support scholarships in nursing and allied health fields at partner schools across Kentucky, including Kentucky State University, Bluegrass Community & Technical College, Eastern Kentucky University, and others throughout the state.
