Morning Pointe of Owensboro Assisted Living is excited to announce its newly rescheduled Grand Opening Celebration on Thursday, August 14, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., to officially unveil its stunning $2.5 million renovations.

Morning Pointe of Owensboro Grand Opening

The community—located at 3362 Buckland Square—will welcome guests for an official ribbon-cutting, guided tours, live music and heavy hors d’oeuvres. The formal program and ribbon-cutting will take place at 4:30 p.m. City, county and local leaders will share the positive impact of the assisted living community and its role in providing needed choices for senior care in the region.

“We are incredibly grateful for the patience shown by our residents, families, and staff during the recent weather-related delays,” said Karleigh Roby, executive director at Morning Pointe of Owensboro. “Now that repairs are complete across the region, we’re excited to finally share the beautiful transformation of our community with our neighbors and partners.”

Originally scheduled for April, the grand opening was postponed out of sensitivity to widespread hailstorm recovery efforts in the community. Now, with those repairs behind them, Morning Pointe is ready to celebrate this exciting new chapter.

Grand Renovations

Acquired in September by Morning Pointe Senior Living, a trusted provider of senior care across the Southeast, the Owensboro community has received extensive upgrades to both its physical environment and services, ensuring a modern, safe and enriching experience for local seniors.

Expanded clinical services approved by state regulators have brought Morning Pointe of Owensboro up to a comprehensive level of assisted living service with:

  • Coordination of on-site medical and therapy services
  • Regular nurse assessments to meet residents’ needs
  • Licensed nurses and certified staff administering medications
  • Trained professionals performing nursing and therapeutic tasks
  • Menus reviewed and approved by a dietician or nutritionist
  • Comprehensive policies for CPR and emergency training

In addition, physical upgrades include (but are not limited to):

  • New paint and artwork
  • New flooring
  • New furniture
  • New cabinets and stylish apartment amenities
  • A sleek, functional nurses station
  • New kitchen equipment
  • New window treatments

“We are excited to bring Morning Pointe’s signature standard of care to Owensboro,” said Greg A. Vital, co-founder and president of Morning Pointe Senior Living. “While residents and their families have been benefiting from these upgrades for the last several months, we cannot wait to show the wider community how Morning Pointe is helping local seniors live their best lives, with the support they need right here in the community they love. This grand opening will be more than just a ribbon-cutting—it’s going to be a celebration of community, compassion, and a renewed commitment to serving Kentucky seniors.”
